Parent & Toddler

We are eager to develop positive relationships with families and our future pupils. Our 'Parent and toddler' group is one way of establishing a strong relationship that we aim to build upon as your child moves through the academy.

Each Wednesday morning between 9 and 10.30am during term time, we run a 'Parent and toddler' group. The group is based in the dining hall facility and is open to parents and carers of all ages with their 'pre-school' aged children.

Two of the academy's experienced and appropriately trained staff organise the sessions. Activities include painting, drawing, dressing-up, small world resources, storytime, singing.

The sessions allow parents and carers the opportunity to chat and discuss issues of the day, share and give advice whilst providing support and encouragement for the children to develop skills for learning.

Come and Join Us!

A selection of photographs showing our Parents and Toddlers engaging and interacting together in some of our age related developmental activities, along with singing to develop language and readings skills and a time to socialise whilst having a snack. As a group we hope to provide both parents and children a fun, friendly morning and look forward to greeting some new members during the next half term. Mrs Harrison and Miss Tranter.

Today at Parent and Toddler group Kisshaun and Violet made some lovely pictures finger painting with their Mummy’s, while Junior and Violet had fun playing together in the soft play area.

Kisshaun enjoyed finding out and copying what noise does the animal make? Whilst listening to Mummy read to him.

Josie brought back our new member to Parent and Toddler group ‘Bedtime Bear’. Bedtime Bear had had a fantastic week at Josie’s house and we loved looking at the pictures in the book Mummy had made to show us you sharing the bedtime story and his many adventures you took him on. This week it is Junior’s turn.

After a busy morning snack time before singing some of our favourite nursery rhymes.
