Busy Bees!

We have been busy bees in Nursery this week! Take a look at the fun and exciting things we have been getting up to!

In Literacy we have been drawing pictures of ourselves and our families. We have been trying extremely hard to make sure that we are holding our pencil correctly and Excellent Emerald has been listening our for us speaking in super sentences!

"Look at my super picture of my family! I even tried to write my own name!"

"Look at my artwork! Emerald said that he was very impressed with the way that I was holding my pen!"

In maths we have been focusing on counting and number recognition. We have had lots of fun singing number songs, playing number games and using Numicon:
"Look at us, we can use Numicon to help us with our counting!"

We had lots of fun playing this number game and Excellent Emerald said that he was very impressed with our counting and turn taking skills:

To develop our listening skills, we went on a listening walk in the outdoor area. We put on our listening ears and we listened carefully for the different sounds that we could hear!

We really enjoyed experimenting making our own sounds outside and we thought about which were our favourite sounds and why:

Finally we have made sure that we have been taking care of our teeth this week and that we have been brushing them at the start of our working day:
Miss Pounder says that she needs to put her sunglasses on as our teeth are so sparkly and clean!!!

Keep checking Nursery’s webpage to find out what we have been getting up to throughout the year!
