A Letter From Queen Elsa

This week in maths we have continued to work on our number bonds. We have also been counting on and back to calculate addition and subtraction number sentences. We find this a bit tricky but we are getting much better at it. We have continued to practise counting in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. Ask us to demonstrate this at home and we will have a good go.

In English this week we received a letter form Queen Elsa. She wanted to know if Olaf could come to our school because he has been a cheeky snowman. We wrote letters to Olaf and Queen Elsa explaining to them what it was like to be a pupil at Caldicotes Primary Academy. Olaf even sent us a video asking for some more information.

On Thursday Mrs Robson came into reception to teach us music. We had lots of fun learning new songs and using the instruments. Mrs Robson is coming back again next week.

Today was sports day for the rest of the school. We went outside to watch and cheer them on. We are getting excited for our sports day. This year we are having it with the rest of EYFS. We are having our sports day on the 8th July in the morning and the afternoon. We hope that you will be able to come along to join us and cheer us on. We might even have a race for the grown ups.
