This week in Maths we have been finishing and creating patterns using everyday objects. We loved using the Numicon pegs to make our own colour patterns and we also enjoyed paint printing with shapes, sometimes we made a colour pattern and a shape pattern. We have also been writing numerals and counting in 5’s and 10’s, we are getting very good at this.

In English we have been listening to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We then improved our speaking and listening skills by acting out the story with puppets in the puppet theatre. We have also been practising reading words and captions.

To follow on from our vets role play we have had a few different visitors in EYFS this week, Bert the Tortoise, Jet the rabbit and Tommy the hamster. We have loved playing, watching, learning about and taking care of these animals. It has encouraged us to ask questions and discuss ways of caring for animals in the environment.
