Our first week back has been full of excitement, the children missed school and couldn’t wait to get back to work.

Child initiated learning has commenced in Reception class this week, during maths time children have been adding and subtracting, making number sentences to match. We have had fun bowling and working out the subtraction.

This week James our sports coach set us circuit training for Reception class, this was very challenging because we had to use our memory to recall what to do in each area. We loved it.

We have also been paint mixing, guessing which colours make other colours. We made a bit of a mess when we were making discoveries!

In English we have been reading the story of Dear Zoo. We have taken the ideas from the story into the areas. Tilly-Mai made a great poster of a tiger for the zoo, Jack made an animal in the role play and Jamie made a giraffe called Jack! It is important for us to incorporate learning in our play.
