This week in Maths we have been measuring capacity using water and sand. We have ordered the containers in capacity from biggest to smallest amounts. We also looked at pictograms and made our own. Children have enjoyed making number sentences with the stones in the EYFS areas.

In phonics this week we have been focusing on writing using our phonics knowledge when segmenting sounds to write. We have learnt about dinosaurs, what they look like, what they like to eat and discussed possible reasons for extinction. Some children became an author and wrote their own dinosaur book.

This week we have made dinosaur teeth and bones. We used newspaper and straws, cutting, joining and gluing together.
