Autumn Term 1, Week 4 in Nursery!

posted 5 Oct 2017, 04:24 by Vicki Bowes

It has been a magical week in Nursery this week. Our learning has been based around the theme of fairies and magic.

Linked to this theme, we have enjoyed reading a range of Twinkle stories.

Our favourite story was ‘Twinkle Tames a Dragon.’

In maths we have been identifying shapes and developing our understanding of their properties.

We really enjoyed making shape pictures and matching shapes to objects found in the classroom.

On Wednesday, we had a visit from Jigsaw Jenie! We had lots of fun talking about our emotions and developing our understanding of how to deal with our emotions.

In Phonics we have been developing our understanding of rhythm and rhyme and our awareness of rhyme in speech.

We particularly enjoyed making different sounds with our mouths.

In everything that we do, we have been trying hard to speak in sentences and develop our vocabulary.

As you can see, it certainly has been a very busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!
