Autumn Term 1, Week 6 in Nursery!

posted 24 Oct 2017, 12:12 by Vicki Bowes

This week has been our initial week of learning based around the theme of Harvest and Autumn.

The title of the story we have been reading in Nursery is ‘The Little Red Hen.’

Linked to our story and theme of learning, we decided that we would make some bread like the Little Red Hen. We had to work together as a group to take turns and follow instructions carefully.

If you would like to make bread at home, click on the link below to view the simple recipe that we used.

On Thursday the whole academy walked to our local church to celebrate Harvest.

We sang our favourite Harvest song, I’m a little Scarecrow.

In Maths this week, we have been helping Harry the Hedgehog count and identify his numbers.

As you can see, it certainly has been a very busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to! Next week we will be focusing on the grapheme m and our number of the week will be 7.
