Autumn Term Week 3 in Nursery!

posted 29 Sep 2017, 03:45 by Vicki Bowes

As always we have been busy bees in Nursery! This week has been our final week of learning based around the theme of superheroes and we have loved every minute of it! It certainly has been a magical adventure!

On Monday we received a special package addressed to all of the children in Nursery! When we opened it, we were delighted to find that Emerald had finally been returned to us!

The evil pea must have made his ‘Best Better’ after all!

The title of the story that we have been reading in Nursery this week is ‘Supertato- Hap-pea ever after’

Our favourite part of the story was when the evil pea got squashed inside of the story book! We found this very funny!

To develop our mark making skills this week, we made ‘Keep Out’ posters to ensure that the evil pea stayed away from our nursery once and for all.

We tried hard to write our names on our posters using our name cards!

On Wednesday Dawn came to do Sing and Sing with us.

We really enjoyed singing new rhymes and learning basic signs.

In maths, we continued to ‘Make our best better’ by working on our counting skills. This week we counted evil peas!

It’s a good job none of them escaped!

At the end of the week, we made and tried vegetable soup, which was delicious! We made sure that we followed the instructions carefully and we each had a try at chopping the vegetables.

As you can see, it certainly has been a very busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to! Next week we will be focusing on the grapheme p and our number of the week will be 4.
