Week 11 in Nursery!

posted 28 Nov 2016, 05:15 by Vicki Bowes

It has been another busy week in nursery. We have been thinking about celebrations that happen in a church.

Our focus story this week has been ‘The Owl and the Pussycat.’ The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat and they ended up getting married.

In PE this week we practised our ball skills. Some of us were excellent at throwing and catching the large balls.

In maths we have been learning about shapes. We sorted shapes and described their properties. You can help our learning by looking for shapes in the environment.

Our cooking focus was pizza making. We enjoyed making them but eating them was even better!

Following our festivals and celebrations theme we have been thinking about celebrations that happen in church. We have had some weddings in nursery this week.

We have started preparing for the Caldicotes Christmas performance of ‘A Midwife Crisis.’ We are certain that the children in EYFS will shine as brightly as stars.
