Week 12 in Nursery!

posted 11 Dec 2016, 08:47 by Vicki Bowes

It has been another busy week in nursery. It all started on Monday when the afternoon children had the opportunity to watch a performance of Sleeping Beauty. It was very exciting.

Our focus story this week has been ‘This is the Bear.’ A dog pushed a bear into the bin and he ended up at the dump! The boy and the dog went to search for him.

In maths this week we have continued to learn about 2D shapes and their properties. We then continued our learning in the computer suite.

We have had some cold wintry days this week. When we went outside everything was white! Then we found some frozen water. When we stood it the ice broke into lots of pieces. It made our fingers cold.

On Wednesday we went for a walk to Corpus Christi church. We looked at and counted lots of crosses, we saw some statues and we were allowed to go up to the top of the church to look down. We could see everything.

Christmas has arrived in school this week. We have decorations up in the classroom and the school corridors. If you come to school for the Christmas fayre on Thursday you will also be able to visit Narnia. We are looking forward to and exciting end to the year.

We have continued to prepare for the Caldicotes Christmas performance of ‘A Midwife Crisis.’ Our singing is going to impress the audience.
