Welcome back everybody and a very happy new year to you all! As we embark on the beginning of the spring term, we look forward to making our best even better to be the best that we can be together!

At the beginning of the week we noticed something very strange in nursery and we received a video message form a very special friend of ours……….That’s right, Mr Elf sent us a special message telling us all about how he has made his best better!

Mr Elf left us a special story about him and his friends too- The Elves and the Shoemaker.

Click on the link below to listen to Mr Elf’s video message.

A key focus in nursery this week has been counting. In the classroom areas and outside environment, we have been trying hard to count objects accurately and identify numbers.

Another key focus in nursery this week has been writing. We have been trying hard to give meaning to our marks when we draw, write and paint and we have been using our name cards to write our names on our work.

In PE we have been learning to use our bodies to travel in different ways on the apparatus.

The weather hasn’t been too kind to us this week, but we haven’t let this dampen our spirits.

We have had a splashing good time outside!

As you can see, it certainly has been a very busy start to the spring term and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to! Next week we will be focusing on the grapheme r and our number of the week will be 16. Can you think of a word that begins with this grapheme? Can you count up to the number 16? What number is one less than 16? What number is one more than 16?
