Week 22 in Nursery!

posted 7 Mar 2016, 15:04 by Vicki Bowes

This week in Nursery we have been consolidating our learning in the following aspects of development; Writing, Space Shape and Measure, and Characteristics of Effective Learning.

We have continued to explore the theme of Space and linked to this topic we have enjoyed reading the story of ‘The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet!’

It was extremely funny and we certainly had a giggle reading about what the dinosaur got up to!

We have been exploring shapes by playing with them to make arrangements, talking about their properties and drawing them.

Throughout the week we have been developing our mark making skills. We have been learning to give meaning to the marks that we make when we draw, write and paint.

We had lots of fun in PE developing our physical movements through dance.

Through our play, we have been exploring the world around us by acting out experiences with other people and involving others in our play.

As it is a very special day on Sunday, we would like to wish those who look after us a very Happy Mothering Sunday.

We had lots of fun making these special cards!

It has been a busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to!
