Week 22 in Nursery!

posted 8 Mar 2017, 04:04 by Vicki Bowes

It was great to get back to nursery after our half term break. This term we are concentrating on traditional tales.

Our focus story this week has been Goldilocks and the three bears. We have enjoyed listening to and re-enacting this story this week. Most of us were familiar with the story.

In our literacy this week we received an important message off Daddy Bear via the internet. He told us that Baby Bear was very unhappy and needed a picture to cheer him up because Goldilocks had ruined the cottage.

In maths this week we have been ordering according to size. The three bears went on a picnic and we needed to sort out which bowl belonged to Daddy Bear, Mammy Bear and Baby Bear. Mrs Cook kept getting it all mixed up!

In forest schools this week we went outside looking for materials to create our own Goldilocks. We had lots of fun.

This week we celebrated World Book Day. Most of us came in our pyjamas and we met Bedtime Story Bear. Bedtime Story Bear is going to go home with one of us every day for a bedtime story.

On Tuesday it was Shrove Tuesday and we made pancakes. We put syrup, chocolate spread or jam on them. They were delicious!
