Week 24 in Nursery!

posted 17 Mar 2017, 05:04 by Vicki Bowes

We have had a really exciting week in nursery learning and having fun.

Our focus story this week has been Little Red Riding Hood. This has made us think about stranger danger and how we must not talk to strangers.

In literacy this week we created a story map for the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We all worked together to draw pictures and retell the story.

On our maths table this week we have had counting fingers. The fingers are helping us to count and recognise numbers.

We found a lot of boxes in nursery this week and we had great fun making them into different things. We made robots, animals, cars and even a train. It was brilliant.

During our cooking session this week we made sandwiches. Spreading butter on the bread is good for fine motor development this will then help us with our writing.

We are enjoying working in different areas for our IT sessions. Some of us stay in the nursery working on the ipads and some of us go down to the computer suite.
