Week 27 in Nursery

posted 9 May 2016, 05:47 by Vicki Bowes
This week in Nursery we have been consolidating our learning in the following aspects of development; Writing, Number and Characteristics of Effective Learning.

On Monday we had a special arrival in nursery. Ten chicken eggs were delivered and placed inside of an incubator. We have watched the eggs hatch and the baby chicks grow and develop throughout the week.

This has been very egg-citing!!!

Linked to the arrival of the chicken eggs, our story book focus has been ‘The Little Yellow Chicken.’ We have enjoyed listening to this story and retelling its events using story puppets.

On Wednesday it was our class assembly. We showcased our learning to the academy and our parents. We certainly were the best that we can be!

On Thursday it was Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. We celebrated this by having our own special party! We had lots of fun dressing up in party clothes and having a picnic outside.

We have made the most of the beautiful spring weather this week and we have been developing our learning in our outdoor environment.

It has been a very busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to!
