Week 31 in Nursery!

posted 9 Jun 2016, 14:11 by Vicki Bowes

This week in Nursery we have been consolidating our learning in the following aspects of development; Characteristics of effective learning, personal social and emotional development and shape, space and measure.

Miss Pounder gave birth to the beautiful Scarlett Rose on 14th May. Mother and baby are fine and we are hoping for a visit during the next half term.

Our story focus this week has been ‘Titch.’ We have enjoyed reading this book and we have discussed our own families.

This week we went to the computer suite to draw a picture of a sunflower. It was difficult to draw the petals but we all had a good try.

In maths this week we have talked about size. The three bears had a picnic and we were able to decide who should have the big spoon and explain why.

In our topic session we have been looking at growth. We have planted our own sunflower seeds. We can’t wait for them to grow.

On Wednesday afternoon we had a fabulous treat. We got to see some birds of prey. The birds were different sizes, we watched some of them fly in the hall. It was amazing!!!

It has been a very busy week in nursery and we have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to!
