Week 36 in Nursery!

posted 5 Jul 2016, 05:12 by Vicki Bowes

This week in Nursery we have been consolidating our learning in the following aspects of development; Communication and Language and Personal, social and Emotional Development.

Our story focus this week has been ‘Percy the Park Keeper.’ Percy has lots of different adventures in his park with the different animals.

We couldn’t do topic this week because we went on our EYFS trip to Preston Park. It was a very wet day but we all had lots of fun. It was great to be so close to the butterflies and we enjoyed looking at the lizards, snakes, spiders and meerkats.

In our English lesson this week we drew a picture about our trip to Preston Park. We particularly enjoyed drawing and labelling pictures of butterflies.

On Tuesday we watched the reception children perform their assembly. Some of us are excited about being in Reception next year.

We are sad to be saying goodbye to our older children who are now ready to begin their learning journey in Reception. We are sure they will all settle quickly into their new routines and we will look forward to hearing what they are getting up to.

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the school’s Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to!
