Week 3 in Nursery

posted 25 Sep 2015, 03:57 by Vicki Bowes
It has been a busy week in nursery. Through our classroom areas and outdoor provision we have been consolidating our development in the following aspects of learning; Speaking, Space, shape and measure, and effective characteristic of learning.

We really enjoyed developing our understanding of pattern using shapes.

Through our play we have been developing our ability to play alongside others and take on roles in our play.

In phonics we have been developing our awareness of rhythm and sounds. We really enjoyed exploring sounds that we can make with our bodies and talking about these sounds.

Our focus story this week was ‘Funnybones’ We really enjoyed retelling the story using story puppets, looking at the story independently and making Funnybones skeleton pictures!

Linked to our learning about ourselves and our story focus, we learnt a new song this week called ‘The Skeleton Dance’ Click on the link below to listen to this song.

We really enjoyed taking our learning forward in the outdoor environment this week.

We certainly have been making our best better to be the best that we can be!

Keep checking nursery’s webpage and the schools Twitter page to find out what we have been getting up to! Next week our letter of the week is ‘p’ and our number of the week is 4. Can you think of a word that begins with this phoneme? Can you count up to 4?
