Week 7 in Nursery!

posted 25 Oct 2016, 04:11 by Vicki Bowes

We have had another exciting week in nursery. We can’t believe that we have come to the end of our first half term.

Our focus story this week has been ‘The Hungry Hen.’ The hen eats lots of food and gets bigger and bigger. There is a fox waiting for her to get big enough to eat. However, he is in for a big surprise!

On Monday we visited the Scarecrow Factory. It was fantastic to look at all of the wonderful work that has been going on around school. We saw our very own scarecrows. George and his Grandma from the story ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine.’

In PE this week we became different animals. We moved around the hall in different ways. We also practised stopping quickly when the whistle blew.

On Wednesday we became leaf detectives. We went outside to see if we could find any signs of autumn.

We collected lots of twigs and berries!

After we had collected our autumn evidence we used it to create an autumnal collage. We were very pleased with the result.

Some of us investigated the giant numicon plates to help with our counting.

On Friday it was ‘dress in pink’ day. We dressed up to raise money and awareness about cancer.
