Week 8 in Nursery!

posted 4 Nov 2016, 15:03 by Vicki Bowes

We have had a spooktacular return to nursery this week. It also started on Monday when we came to school in our Halloween fancy dress costumes.

Our focus story this week has been ‘Winnie the Witch.’ Winnie the Witch lives in a black house. She has black chairs and black stairs, black floors and black doors. The trouble is that Winnie’s cat, Wilbur, is also black. She needs to use a magic spell.

During our spooktacular week we have conducted a number of scientific experiments. We made a bottle of coke explode, an egg float, a rainbow and raisins dance. It has been very exciting.

On Wednesday we used our sense of smell, taste and touch to work out what things were. We found this tricky to do but we did need to use some good describing words.

In maths this week we searched for matching numicon plates outside.

In computers this week we made bonfire night pictures. We need lots of practise with the mouse.
