Week 9 in Nursery!

posted 14 Nov 2016, 06:27 by Vicki Bowes

We have had another great week in nursery and we all safely enjoyed the fireworks over the weekend.

Our focus story this week has been ‘Rama and Sita.’ Rama and Sita find themselves banished, and then Sita is kidnapped by the evil Demon King Ravana. Rama searches for Sita and ends up having a great battle.

Linking to our story focus, all of the children have made a tea light candle holder. They have taken a very long time to dry. We are going to decorate them next week.

During PE this week we played a listening game called ‘Beans.’ We had to do different actions to the instructions: jumping bean, chilli bean, runner bean and beans on toast!

We have had a new Thomas train track donated. We loved working together to fix all of the pieces together. This is teaching us how to share and work cooperatively.

On Friday we had to sit in the hall for a 2 minutes silence. We did this to remember all of the soldiers who had fought and died during different wars and conflicts. We have also made poppies in class. The poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day.
