Week 2 of Autumn half-term 2

We have had another busy week in reception. In our English lessons we have been focusing on rhyme. We have read a number of different texts including ‘Let is Fall’ and ‘This is the Bear.’ Rhyme is rather tricky and we will be looking at this again. It will be good for us to notice rhyme in our everyday lives. Mrs Cook rhymes with book!

In our maths lessons this week we have been working on length and measure. We have looked at height and decided whose clothes belong to who. We are not all the same height and we get taller as we get older. Older children are often taller than younger children.

This week was Remembrance Day. We all went outside for two minutes silence. We were thinking about soldiers that had died in different wars. We made lots of poppies and we are going to put them up for a display.

We had one of our PE lessons outside this week. We went onto the KS2 playground to use their trim trail. Some of the equipment was hard to get across but we all tried our best to get across.
