Week 12 in Reception

posted 4 Dec 2015, 06:13 by Vicki Bowes
This week in our English lesson we have continued to look at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, however this week we have been looking at alternative stories. We read one called Jack and the Incredibly Meanstalk! He wasn’t very kind but when he had no friends he became lonely and decided that it was better to be nice.

In our maths lessons this week we have been looking at time. We read the story of the Hungry Caterpillar and then we had to order the days of the week. We have also been looking at how long a minute is. We tried to see what we could do in a minute. Lola managed to take her shoes off and put them back on 3 times!

On Monday we watched a production of Jack and the Beanstalk. We really enjoyed it, it was so funny. A beanstalk grew magically on the stage and they sang lots of songs that we joined in with.

We had our Christmas fayre on Wednesday and some of us saw Santa. He had used his magic to transform the corridor into his Christmas grotto. It was beautiful. Our teachers would like to thank all of the parents that took the time to support the Christmas Fayre.
