Week 17 in Reception

posted 28 Jan 2016, 03:27 by Vicki Bowes
In English this week our story focus has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have used adjectives to describe Goldilocks. Thursday was the best day because we got to make some porridge and try it. We had to read and follow some instructions. We could put in syrup, banana or jam. Some of us put in all three!

In maths this week we have been exploring 2D shape and their properties. It would be helpful if you could help us to look for shapes in the environment, shapes are everywhere. We have also explored categorising shapes by their properties. We have also used a lot of numicon in the areas this week, we have counted it and looked for patterns.

In PE this week we did circuit training. We had lots of different activities to complete. We had to jump over a hurdle, bounce and catch a ball, sprint and complete a bean bag throw. We had 12 different stations to complete in total. At the end of our PE lesson we were exhausted!

Please can we thank all of the parents that have made sure we have suitable shoes and clothing for our outside activities. We love to take our learning outside.
