Last Friday was Children in Need day and it was fantastic to see everyone dressed up. As a school we managed to raise £440 for good causes across the UK.

In school this week it has been anti-bullying week. We have talked about what makes a good friend and we have been learning a song about friendship. This year’s theme for anti-bullying week is ‘Let’s make a noise,’ ask your child what noise we have been making to stamp out bullying.

In our English lessons this week we have been thinking about animals that hibernate over the winter. We have had lots of discussion about it and we have learned new facts.

In our maths lessons this week we have been looking at 3D shapes and their properties. 3D shapes are everywhere in our environment. Did you know a tin of soup is a cylinder? We have printed with boxes in our creative area to explore the shapes of the faces.

Some of the children consolidated their learning from last week by measuring different members of staff to see how tall they were.
