A few words from some of Class 2 about our first week back at school...

We like being in Class 2 even though we have to work much harder than last year.
"This week we have been having a fabulous time during our first week back," said Paris and Rosy.
"We have been learning how to form our letters correctly and put our letters the right way around, I have loved this activity," said Libby.
"This week we have learnt about different sounds in Phonics and it was fun. We learnt the ch and sh digraphs," said Reece.
This week in P.E we have been learning about circuit training and how exercise affects our bodies. We learnt different exercises such as leg raises, star jumps and sit ups.
In English this week we have all received our new reading books and some of us have even changed levels. We really enjoy reading our books every day and appreciate your support in helping us to read everyday. In our role play area we have been to apply for a classroom job. To apply for the job we had to write about which job we would like and why.
Maths has been fun this week because we have been counting in 1's and 2's. We all find it more challenging to count back and we are going to keep practising so we become the best class in the school. This week we have also been practising our mental maths skills and looking at how we find the answers to tricky addition and subtraction problems.

In art this week have drawn some pictures of ourselves, we learnt that these are called self portraits. We are going to display them outside our classroom with our writing, which is all about us.
Please remember that every week we have spelling tests on Friday and homework tasks need to be brought in too.
Thank you for all your support
