Class 3's Mini Medic First Aid Course

posted 12 Sep 2014, 05:46 by Tom Kentfield-Wells   [ updated 12 Sep 2014, 05:47 ]
On Thursday we all successfully completed a Mini Medic First Aid Course following a visit from Molly the Medic. We have learnt about how to stay safe and what we should do if there is a medical problem or emergency.

Dialling 999
We played a match the card game about different responses to emergencies. We know that the most important number in the world is 999, but that we would only call this number in an emergency! If we had to call 999, we would need to know our name, address and the problem.

Lennon commented, “I really liked doing this because we used the phones to help us learn what to do.”

We used the teddies to check that we know what to do if someone is choking. Lacy slapped the back of her teddy bear. If teddy is still choking we need to call 999 for more help.

We have learnt so much with Molly the Medic. Now we know to help people who need medical assistance.

So far we are still the only class to have 100% attendance which is fantastic. Every day we have all been here and ready to learn. Congratulations to everyone in Class 3.
