Super Symmetry and Fantastic Forest Schools

Marvellous Maths
Recently we read the book 'Monsters Love Underpants' by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort. We found the book hilarious and thought that it would be a great opportunity to create our own symmetrical pants. Would you like us to design a pair for you?

Excellent English
In our English sessions we have been writing a letter to Dave and Jenny at the 'Captain Cook Birthplace Museum' to say a huge thank you for a great day. We felt that it was important to tell them what we enjoyed and what we would like to make even better too!

Forest Schools
Year 1s have enjoyed learning about 'The Gruffalo', a book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, during Forest Schools sessions. Working together in small groups, they built habitats for Snake, Fox and Mouse using lots of natural materials. They have also been developing their phonics, applying their skills outside the classroom.

Week on week, we are improving our cricket skills and truly becoming the best that we can be. We are continuing to develop our underarm throw so we can become fantastic cricket players.
