Hello everyone!

We've had an excellent first week in Class 4. Here are just some of the things we have done as we embarked upon our learning journey together.

The children have engaged with a range of maths activities to develop their mathematics skills and understanding:

When Trenton and Kole filled the Numicon board with a random selection of plates, Mr Wells challenged them to make their best better by only using 2s, 4s and 6s:

Well done boys for completing your maths challenge successfully!

Cameron and Javeria used ICT to improve their phonics knowledge:

Dilara and Cole tested each other on their Phase 3 words:

Cole also developed his phonics by applying our work on the 'ch' phoneme to other areas of his learning:

Ebony, Carson and Cole used their phonics to read a range of words before applying their learning whilst enjoying reading books in our new reading area:

Lilly-Jo and Lucy enjoyed decorating their Reading Rockets:

We can't wait to find out who will do the most reading this year!

Grace, Christan and Ellie-May wrote independently about their summer holidays:

It looks like you had a fantastic time guys!

Billie-Jo, Elle, Jaxson and Darcie were also busy writing in our 'Job Centre' role-play area:

All of the children in Class 4 have applied for their choice of monitor job this week.

In the construction area this week, as part of our new project, the children were challenged to build a rocket out of Duplo to help them 'reach for the stars':

Finally, we worked together on a shared-write to introduce you to our class. This is what we wrote:
