Week 12 in Class 4

Once again, as part of their phonics work, the children in Class 4 have written their own weekly website update. Here are some of the highlights from this week...

On Monday we read the story of Peter Pan and I enjoyed it.

Our English work this week has focused on the planning and writing of a character description. The children could choose to describe either Peter Pan or Tinker Bell. Prior to writing, the children shared their planning and 'magpied' ideas.

In mathematics this week, we have been practising telling the time. The children commenced their learning with an investigation into how many times they could achieve certain things in a minute. This supported the children to develop their understanding of the length of a minute.

On Tuesday we made Christmas decorations and danced with Claire.

On Wednesday we played bench-ball with James and it was fun.

Thursday is the last day in school this week as Friday is a PD Day.

Have a lovely long weekend!
