Week 2 in class 2!

posted 4 Oct 2016, 03:04 by Vicki Bowes

This week in Class 2 we have been learning even more about how to be a fantastic Year 1.

This week in maths we have been ordering numbers up to 30 which was quite tricky, we were allowed to use different types of paper to show our work.

We have written character descriptions about Alfie and we are starting to write an adventure story about a tortoise too!

We have continued to find out new poses in yoga and this week we have worked on our throwing and catching skills too.

This week we have been recapping our Phase 3 sounds and we have played on the phonics play. Why don’t you try it at home? You can play on some games for free! http://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/freeIndex.htm

Forest Schools
We loved Forest Schools this week as we had the chance to make natural habitats for Alfie.

Fabulous news
Rainsford house team were super happy this week because throughout the academy they had collectively worked the hardest, allowing them to go first for lunch on Monday. We also had a fabulous day on Tuesday celebrating Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday.
