Week 10 in Class 6

This week we have been continuing with our work on World War One. We have focused on writing a character description on King George V and also looking at why the war began. We have looked at the countries involved in the war and which power they belonged to – central or allied. Here is a map we used to show the two powers –
Can your child tell you which countries are shaded and which power they belonged to?


In maths we have been looking at fractions. We have worked with a fraction wall and discussed equivalent fractions and reinforced fractions of quantities. We have also been working with decimals.
