We have had a very busy week in Year 5 and Year 6 this week.

Some of the Year 5s have been out doing their Bikeability course. This has helped them to be more aware of road safety and they have learnt basic skills of how to look after their bikes properly:

In maths this week we have been working with negative numbers and calculating intervals across zero:

In English this week we have had a skills focus and have concentrated on using speech marks correctly. This is going to help to improve our writing – we can’t wait to put it into practise during our next topic.

In PE this week we have started with tag rugby. This lesson we learnt all about how to pass and catch a rugby ball in the correct way, concentrating on throwing skills.

Today we have done a PLO working as a whole year group. We made star shaped biscuits to finish off our reach for the stars topic. We were communicating and working in teams to read the recipe carefully and finish up with some delicious biscuits.
