Ready, Steady, Read!! Non-uniform day to end our event!

Thank you to everyone who has really joined in with our 'Ready, Steady, Read' event in the academy over the last week or so. We have been so impressed by the amount of reading the children have completed and hope that their enjoyment of reading will continue beyond the initiative.

To bring the event to an end, we have said that the children can bring their favourite book to share in their class tomorrow and, for a suggested donation of 50p, can wear non-uniform for the day, with all the additional funds going into the pot for even more reading books!

The children will be issued with their tokens in good time on Wednesday morning to use at the book stall at the summer fayre on Wednesday afternoon.
If your child chooses to come to school in non-uniform, they must not wear open-toed sandals. They can wear jeans, trainers, shorts and T-shirts, dresses - but please remember they are coming to school to learn and not going to the beach or a disco and should be dressed appropriately.

Once again, thank you for your support with helping your child with their reading.
