Educational Visits

We aim to provide a broad and enriched curriculum for our children. Wherever possible we relate learning to the ‘real’ world and therefore we look to maximise the value of educational visits to a wide range of places and visitors to the Academy. At the beginning of each academic year, you will be asked to sign a form giving permission for your child to attend local visits and events – library, sporting tournaments etc. If your child is to participate in a visit beyond this you will be asked to sign and give permission for that specific visit. (please ask to see our Educational visits policy and procedures at the Main Reception.) In Key Stage 2, we encourage children to continue to develop their independence, thinking and learning through participating in residential visits to places such as Carlton Outdoor Education Centre, which the Academy’s Governing Body will subsidises substantially. We aim to offer additional opportunities to visit places across the country such as a visit to London.  Although we will seek funding to subsidise these visits through sponsorship, the Academy cannot commit to a subsidy – saving using the Academy bank from entry into Nursery will soon add up!
