Pupils‎ > ‎

We recognise that we are living in a digital age and able to access lots of information at the touch of a button on hand-held devices as well as the more traditional PCs and laptops within the academy.  We are aware the Internet hosts many exciting opportunities for education. The online world is a wonderful place for young people to explore, with unprecedented opportunities for learning and creativity. However, just like the real world, there are risks and dangers that children should be aware of and protected from. Within the Academy, we encourage the use of technology as an important part of our children’s development but we always want them be safe. Embedded within our curriculum across the year, pupils regularly review E-safety issues through general class work and as part of PSHE&Ce work.  We engage with various agencies to support our pupils to develop an understanding and awareness of the risks involved with the online world.

We would be happy to support any families who feel they would benefit from some guidance linked to use of the internet both in the academy and in the home.

It is important to note: Facebook is social media that is not intended to be used by pupils under 13.
